Our Purpose
Sing We Now of Christmas is a community project designed to spread the Good News of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through the singing of Christmas carols.
It is intended to encourage church choirs, community groups, clubs, or just friends and neighbors to go out into their local communities and sing carols during the weeks leading up to Christmas.
Our goal is to get hundreds of caroling groups out singing, and to provide a way for them to link up with their neighbors during the Christmas season.
Nothing better expresses the simple joy of the season than singing Christmas carols.
Our increasingly complex and isolated lives move us further away from community activities that were commonplace a couple of generations ago.
Stereo, TV, and a host of other technologies have taken the place of singing for many.
The generations are becoming increasingly isolated, especially with mass marketing of pop music targeted at different age groups.
The decline in family and community singing is a significant symptom of the problems of our age, and an immeasurable loss.
But we have a hope in something far greater than all the world's problems.

How marvelous to "the great glad tidings tell".
Singing these wonderful songs that we learned as children and sang with our parents and grandparents brings us closer together, strengthening the bonds of fellowship and community.
Our Lord came to us, to teach how to live together and love one another.
